Accountabilities
Own and drive the estate planning product roadmap, overseeing the complete journey from initial information gathering and discovery to document execution and ongoing plan updates.
Define product priorities, scope, sequencing, and delivery trade-offs, ensuring development efforts remain focused on the highest-value business outcomes.
Establish measurable success criteria and performance indicators, including reducing the time required to move from initial intake to signed estate planning documents.
Lead product squad activities, including planning sessions, demonstrations, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Identify opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence to improve the speed, clarity, accuracy, and efficiency of estate planning workflows.
Determine which processes should be automated and where human expertise from strategists, attorneys, and paralegals remains essential.
Own AI quality assurance and evaluation processes, developing benchmarks and assessing the accuracy and reliability of AI capabilities before deployment.
Partner with Security, Compliance, and Legal teams to protect sensitive family information and attorney-client privileged data throughout product design and development.
Improve workflow visibility by creating appropriate tools and experiences that allow estate planning professionals, advisors, and clients to track the progress of individual plans.
Ensure information and functionality are tailored to different user roles, providing relevant visibility while maintaining appropriate access controls.
Leverage existing enterprise platform capabilities to create integrated estate planning solutions rather than developing isolated tools.
Manage the day-to-day relationship with external development partners, defining priorities, communicating requirements, monitoring delivery, and addressing risks.
Maintain accountability for development commitments, proactively resolving delivery challenges and ensuring that completed work meets agreed requirements and quality standards.
Collaborate with estate planning leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to align product decisions with business objectives and operational outcomes.
Requirements:
At least 5 years of professional experience in product management, with a proven track record of delivering products that generate measurable business results.
Demonstrated experience implementing AI-powered solutions in production environments to address real business challenges.
Experience delivering products in highly regulated, compliance-sensitive, or accuracy-critical environments, with an understanding of the risks associated with incorrect outputs.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional product teams involving engineering, design, and data professionals, as well as manage external development partners.
Strong ability to translate complex, multi-step business processes into clear product requirements, specifications, and actionable development plans.
Hands-on experience with Large Language Model (LLM) evaluation, including building evaluation datasets, assessing AI performance, and using results to improve product functionality.
Strong understanding of human-in-the-loop product design, balancing automation with appropriate human oversight and intervention.
Excellent data literacy, including the ability to define performance metrics, interpret dashboards, conduct independent analysis, and make evidence-based product decisions.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and build credibility with business professionals, strategists, and attorneys.
Strong prioritization and decision-making abilities, combined with a proactive, results-oriented approach and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards.
Comfortable working in ambiguous, evolving environments and adapting product strategies within an active business operation.
A client-focused mindset, with the ability to understand the needs of clients, financial advisors, and estate planning professionals and translate them into effective product solutions.
Experience in estate planning, legal services, trust administration, or wealth management is an advantage but is not required.
Availability to work standard business hours, Monday through Friday, generally between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility for early or late meetings when business needs require.
Benefits:
Annual base salary ranging from $136,000 to $160,000, depending on experience, qualifications, skills, and geographic location.
Eligibility for additional incentive-based compensation.
Fully remote work opportunity within the United States.
Company-paid basic life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance.
