Senior Product Manager

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Product Manager, ODM, to lead the development and lifecycle management of custom computing products from concept through mass production and sustaining support. This role requires a strong combination of product leadership, system-level technical understanding, commercial judgment, and customer-facing communication. The successful candidate will connect customers, engineering, operations, quality, sales, and global product teams to deliver reliable, competitive, and profitable products throughout their complete lifecycle.   Responsibilities:   • Translate customer and market needs into product specifications, roadmap priorities, business cases, and actionable development plans. • Monitor market and competitive trends in embedded computing and mission-critical applications to identify growth opportunities and guide product strategy. • Own product cost, pricing, margin, and commercial terms; evaluate NRE, recurring cost, tooling, logistics, warranty, and risk to support profitable business decisions. • Lead customer and supplier negotiations with sound business judgment, balancing technical requirements, delivery, quality, cost, warranty, liability, and other terms and conditions. • Present product strategy, technical trade-offs, program status, risks, and business recommendations clearly to customers, senior leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders. • Own end-to-end custom product lifecycle management, from customer requirements and concept definition through New Product Introduction (NPI), mass production (MP), sustaining engineering, obsolescence, and end-of-life planning. • Drive system-level product definition and technical alignment, including architecture, hardware/software integration, validation, verification, regulatory certification, and customer acceptance requirements. • Manage MP product quality issues, including root-cause investigation, corrective and preventive actions, rework, deviation/waiver decisions, customer communication, and RMA processes. • Coordinate sustaining product life management, including engineering changes, supplier/component transitions, cost reduction, quality improvement, field issues, and end-of-life/obsolescence activities. • Lead cross-functional development programs and establish clear requirements, schedules, milestones, risks, and ownership across engineering, manufacturing, quality, procurement, sales, and operations.   Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience; Master’s degree preferred. * Minimum 5 years of experience in product management, program management, systems engineering, or a comparable role in the technology or embedded computing industry. * Demonstrated knowledge of marketing and business development techniques, including market segmentation, value proposition development, customer acquisition, opportunity qualification, account development, and go-to-market planning. * Strong financial and commercial skills, including product costing, pricing, margin management, quotation review, and negotiation of business terms and conditions. * Solid technology foundation with critical-thinking and problem-solving skills; able to evaluate technical trade-offs and make practical business decisions. * Excellent presentation, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to represent the company confidently in front of customers and executive stakeholders. * Experience in mission-critical vertical markets preferred, including defense, unmanned vehicles, public safety, aviation, or avionics. * Demonstrated experience leading custom-designed products through the complete NPI-to-MP process and sustaining product lifecycle management. * Strong knowledge of system-level design, product validation and verification, regulatory certification, and production readiness for industrial or embedded computing products. * Hands-on experience resolving mass-production quality issues and managing rework, failure analysis, corrective actions, and RMA activities. * Experience managing manufacturing partners across multiple geographic regions and time zones, with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, coordinate cross-functional execution, resolve issues, and ensure quality, schedule, cost, and delivery targets are achieved. * Experience with IPC/embedded computing platforms, ODM/custom design, and related regulatory or industry requirements is highly desirable. * Experience managing or leading teams, with demonstrated ability to set priorities, develop team members, allocate resources, and drive accountability and performance. * Experience collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, quality, procurement, sales, and global teams in a cross-functional environment.
