Working at the intersection of Product, Data Science, Risk, and Engineering, you will turn complex data and models into scalable credit decisions. Your work will directly influence approval rates, losses, disbursement volume, retention, and sustainable revenue growth. You will lead experimentation, evaluate new credit signals, and continuously improve decisioning strategies with speed and analytical rigor. Define and manage core underwriting KPIs, including take rate, loss rate, disbursement volume, and retention, balancing customer outcomes, risk, and business performance. Lead experimentation across underwriting strategies and model changes, taking initiatives from hypothesis and testing through validation and broader rollout. Translate complex quantitative and technical concepts into clear product strategies and actionable priorities for cross-functional teams and senior leadership. Partner with senior leaders to identify new business opportunities enabled by underwriting capabilities, including new products, partnerships, and data sources. Mentor product colleagues and serve as a subject-matter leader, raising the organization's capabilities in credit underwriting and decisioning. Ensure underwriting strategies account for applicable regulatory, compliance, and consumer-credit requirements while maintaining a strong pace of innovation. Requirements: 8+ years of experience in product management or credit risk management, including at least 5 years focused on credit, underwriting, or risk within consumer lending, fintech, banking, or a related environment. Deep hands-on expertise with underwriting models and credit decisioning strategies, particularly cash-flow-based or alternative-data underwriting. Demonstrated ability to establish and execute multi-quarter or multi-year underwriting strategies that guide the work of multiple product and technical teams. Strong quantitative and statistical capabilities, with the ability to work closely with Data Science on model design, validation, experimentation, and monitoring. Experience navigating regulatory and compliance requirements associated with consumer credit products. Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence presenting complex underwriting strategies, business decisions, and risk trade-offs to senior leadership. Strong business ownership and sense of urgency, with the ability to move quickly from ideas to validated improvements without compromising analytical rigor or responsible decision-making. Proven ability to use AI tools to accelerate underwriting analysis, model iteration, research, and decision-making. Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, another quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience. Experience with BNPL, installment lending, credit card products, or similar consumer credit offerings is a plus. Background in credit risk, data science, or actuarial work before transitioning into product management is advantageous. Experience mentoring or informally leading other product managers is beneficial. Familiarity with cash-advance, subscription-based lending, or comparable consumer financial products is a plus.
