About the Role
Jeppesen ForeFlight is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Product Manager
to lead our flagship navigation focused flight deck EFB product line. This
individual will define and drive the strategy for Jeppesen ForeFlight’s flagship
product, FliteDeck Pro, that services the commercial and business aviation
markets. The ideal candidate brings firsthand experience with aviation,
developing mobile solutions, data and systems integration, and AI. This is a
critical, high-visibility role that will directly shape how major carriers
around the world modernize their flight operations through the Electronic Flight
Bag.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Navigation
capabilities within the Flite Deck platform, spanning enroute and terminal
charts, moving map, route planning, and procedure (SID/STAR/approach)
selection
* Research and create product requirements and prototypes; work with
engineering and design to bring navigation capabilities from discovery
through delivery
* Conduct deep discovery with airline customers and prospects to understand
their flight-deck navigation workflows, pain points, and
requirements—translating operational realities into actionable product
specifications
* Lead cross-functional collaboration with sales, engineering, QA, and
marketing to ensure navigation capabilities meet customer needs and market
opportunities
* Serve as the internal subject matter expert on aeronautical navigation data
and regulatory standards (ARINC 424, FAA AC 120-76/EASA, etc. EFB guidance),
advising engineering teams on compliance and interoperability requirements
* Identify market potential, establish pricing and go-to-market strategies, and
build the business case for navigation as a product line
* Participate in overall product strategy and development coordination for new
and emerging navigation capabilities, including tailored/fleet-specific data,
and multi-platform (iOS, Windows) delivery
* Collaborate with marketing to develop materials and strategies that
accurately reflect the navigation value proposition; partner with sales on
customer messaging and competitive positioning against other EFB solutions
* Develop and track metrics — feature adoption, and customer satisfaction — to
evaluate navigation product effectiveness and customer value; identify and
promote new ideas for continuous improvement
* Lead and participate in the development of navigation and moving-map user
experience design efforts; identify and submit IP/Invention disclosures as
applicable
 Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in a technical, aviation, business, or related field, or
equivalent practical experience
* 7+ years of product management experience in aviation software, avionics,
connected-device products, or another safety-critical environment
* At least 2+ years of experience managing a navigation, flight-planning,
moving-map, or related aviation capability
* Direct experience working with or supporting airline or business aviation
flight operations, dispatch, or flight standards teams
* Hands-on familiarity with Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) navigation
functionality, including enroute and terminal charts, moving maps,
route/SID/STAR selection, and terrain, obstacle, or weather overlays
* Demonstrated experience taking software products from discovery and concept
through launch, adoption, and post-launch iteration, using analytics to
measure customer and business impact
* Experience operating in regulated, safety-critical product environments,
including change control, verification and validation, and coordination with
certification or airworthiness stakeholders
* Familiarity with geospatial and mapping technologies, including GIS,
moving-map rendering, GPS, and ADS-B position sources
* Proficiency with product management and collaboration tools such as Jira,
Aha!, Productboard, and Confluence, with the ability to review technical
specifications, API documentation, and data schemas
* Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability
to translate complex technical, customer, and regulatory requirements into
clear product requirements and prioritized roadmaps
* Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with
demonstrated ability to align engineering, UX, sales, and
regulatory/compliance teams
* Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites, flight operations
centers, and industry events as needed
Preferred Qualifications
* Advanced degree, such as an MBA or technical graduate degree
* Working knowledge of aeronautical data formats, standards, and regulatory
guidance relevant to EFB navigation products, including FAA AC 120-76 and
applicable EASA EFB guidance
* Background in aviation, airline cockpit or ground environments, EFB
platforms, or avionics
* Pilot certificate (Private Pilot or higher) or equivalent flight-deck
experience
