We are seeking a Senior Product Manager who will guide one or more strategic
technology products for BYU-Pathway. As our technology systems form the virtual
campus for online learning, we provide products that help students, instructors,
mentors, missionaries, and administrators find joy and success in their efforts.
We have a team of product managers and the specific product assignment will
depend on the skills and experience of the hired candidate.

The position is located within commuting distance of BYU-Pathway headquarters in
downtown Salt Lake City, working hybrid-remote (currently 1-2 days per week in
the office).Â
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ensure assigned products are driving intended business outcomes for
BYU-Pathway’s strategic priorities
2. Develop a deep understanding of BYU-Pathway business strategy and needs of
our customers
3. Focus on reducing friction, delighting customers, and improving the
customer experienceÂ
4. Perform all product lifecycle activities for assigned products, including
product strategy, discovery, planning, prioritization, guiding development,
roadmaps, stakeholder alignment, measuring and reporting, and more
5. Mentor less-experienced product managers and add strength to our product
management team
6. Lead cross-functional product councils, aligning business needs with
product plans and resources
7. Partner closely with development to deliver new product features
effectively and efficientlyÂ
8. Carefully manage and track an annual product budget
9. Identify, measure, and report key product metrics
10. Stay current on product alternatives, industry trends, and best practices
11. Manage expectations through skillful and transparent communication and
collaboration
12. Rigorously document key product artifacts including roadmaps, requirements,
and backlog
13. Drive execution of product work, identifying and eliminating bottlenecks to
successful delivery
14. Build trust by cultivating relationships, executing with precision, and
keeping commitmentsÂ
QUALIFICATIONS
1. 6+ year successful track record in technology product managementÂ
2. Bachelor’s degree or higher; Master’s preferred
3. Experience managing and developing enterprise applications (higher ed
systems preferred)
4. Proven experience shaping product strategy, writing requirements, creating
roadmaps, and prioritizing work for development
5. Experience managing a significant product budget
6. Is naturally proactive, consistently seeking to improve how they accomplish
their workÂ
7. Is an excellent written and oral communicator
8. Extensive experience managing expectations of senior leaders, stakeholders,
and customers
9. Fluency using product management tools and frameworks
10. Formal product management training and/or certifications preferred
11. Experience with higher ed systems such as SIS, LMS, CRM preferred
12. Experience delivering products for disadvantaged populations in global
markets preferred
