About the role
RapidAir is a leading designer and manufacturer of branded compressed air solutions including piping, fittings, filtration, and accessories, and serving transportation, manufacturing, industrial, energy, agricultural, and consumer markets.Â
In 2024, Gryphon Investors acquired a controlling interest in RapidAir through its Heritage Fund, positioning the company for significant growth. Together, we’re expanding into new markets, strengthening customer relationships, and leveraging macro industrial trends to scale RapidAir’s leadership in the compressed air space.
Job Summary:Â
The Product Specialist will develop and deliver product training programs that equip our channel partners with the knowledge and confidence to sell and position RapidAir solutions effectively. This individual will also be responsible for owning and maintaining internal product and competitive landscape databases, with an emphasis on product comparisons, new product launches, and pricing, to inform product development opportunities and enhance training content. This is a hands-on, content-forward role that sits within the Product function and serves both external partners and internal teams.Â
You'll own the full training lifecycle, from building curriculum to standing in front of a room (or a screen) and delivering it. You'll serve as a go-to resource on product knowledge and the competitive landscape across the organization.Â
What You’ll Do:Â
* Develop and maintain deep knowledge of RapidAir’s compressed air product line, including specifications, applications, and updates, to serve as a credible product resource across the organization
* Design, develop, and deliver product training for channel partners (distributors, dealers, resellers), end users, and internal teams in both virtual and in-person formats
* Build and maintain training materials including presentations, quick-reference guides, demo scripts, and e-learning content
* Conduct product demonstrations for customers, channel partners, and internal stakeholders to showcase features, benefits, and real-world applications
* Identify customer needs, recommend appropriate products, and provide technical or product-related support to drive informed purchasing decisions
* Translate technical product features into clear, compelling sales-focused messaging that helps partners position RapidAir products in the market
* Maintain competitive landscape and pricing database to inform product development and pricing decisions and align training messaging with RapidAir value propositions vs competition
* Own processes for new item setups and SKU modifications in ERP system to assist with deployment of new product launches and product changes
* Support sales and marketing teams by contributing to promotional materials, sales collateral, and go-to-market content
* Address post-sale customer inquiries, resolve product-related issues, and gather feedback to inform continuous improvement
* Track training participation and effectiveness; iterate based on feedback
* Partner with the Product Portfolio Director to align training content with product launches, updates, and market priorities
* Travel to customer and partner sites to deliver in-person training (approximately 25%)Â
What You’ll Bring:Â
* 2-4 years in industrial product support, technical product management, or technical training role, ideally within compressed air / fluid power products
* Ability to speak credibly to both technical and non-technical audiences; hands-on knowledge of compressed air systems is preferred
* Strong presentation and facilitation skills; comfortable in front of a room and on camera
* Demonstrated ability to develop training content from scratch, not just deliver existing materials
* Self-directed and organized; able to manage multiple programs and deadlines Â
* Proficiency with common content creation and virtual training tools (PowerPoint, Zoom/Teams, LMS platforms a plus)Â
Physical Requirements:Â Â
* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
* Willingness and ability to travel as needed for meetings and acquisitions
* Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionallyÂ
