This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Manager, Wet Goods (Contract) based in the United States. This contract role will support the development and commercialization of new wet-goods and personal grooming products. Working closely with Product Management and cross-functional partners, you will help move new formulations from concept through launch. The role combines product development, claims substantiation, packaging, costing, scale-up, and production readiness. You will coordinate multiple initiatives while keeping timelines, deliverables, and launch objectives on track. Success will require strong organization, technical product development knowledge, and the ability to align diverse stakeholders. This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to an evolving consumer product portfolio in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. The engagement is expected to last approximately 4 to 6 months as a maternity leave coverage assignment. \n Accountabilities: Support the execution of new product development programs within the personal grooming category, ensuring projects remain aligned with timelines, stage-gate requirements, and launch objectives. Translate approved product concepts and innovation briefs into actionable development plans that reflect consumer needs, project requirements, and business objectives. Coordinate formula development, claims testing, packaging development, artwork initiation, technical transfers, scale-up activities, and production readiness through commercialization. Manage product costing and business case activities, including COGS development, gross margin analysis, financial tracking, and approved pricing recommendations. Track project progress and communicate status, risks, issues, and mitigation plans to Product Development teams, senior leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders. Partner with PMO, Design, Marketing, Quality Assurance, Regulatory, Packaging, Operations, and Channel teams to maintain alignment and ensure timely product launches. Maintain project documentation, development timelines, action items, launch calendars, and progress reporting across multiple initiatives. Identify opportunities to optimize the product portfolio while maintaining awareness of industry trends and the competitive landscape. Provide additional product development and project coordination support as required. Requirements: 8+ years of experience in execution-focused product development and category ownership roles. Proven experience managing the full product development lifecycle, ideally within personal grooming, beauty, consumer products, or a closely related category. Strong technical understanding of formula development and product commercialization processes. Demonstrated experience supporting successful product launches from development through production. Experience coordinating formula development, claims testing, packaging design, artwork, production readiness, and technical transfers. Strong understanding of product costing, COGS analysis, gross margins, financial tracking, and business case development. Experience creating and managing comprehensive launch calendars aligned with broader product roadmaps. Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Asana, or equivalent platforms, as well as product specification systems. Strong project leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and keep complex initiatives moving forward. Excellent communication skills, particularly in communicating project status, risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans to senior leaders and cross-functional teams. Collaborative, resourceful, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-changing environment. Benefits: 4–6 month contract engagement covering a maternity leave.
