Accountabilities:
The Product Manager, Merchant Experience will own the vision, strategy, and execution of merchant-facing products that enable businesses to successfully participate in an AI-driven commerce environment. This role requires balancing merchant needs, consumer experiences, and long-term platform growth while collaborating across multiple teams.
Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for merchant platforms and experiences.
Build scalable products that help merchants onboard efficiently, manage catalogs, optimize product visibility, and grow sales.
Lead the development of merchant dashboards, analytics tools, reporting experiences, and insights capabilities.
Create intuitive experiences around merchant onboarding, catalog management, pricing, promotions, inventory, checkout, APIs, integrations, and reporting.
Partner with merchant-facing teams to translate retailer feedback and business needs into scalable product solutions.
Collaborate with engineering teams to build APIs, integrations, feeds, and platform capabilities that simplify merchant participation.
Work with AI and search teams to improve how merchant data is surfaced, ranked, and personalized throughout the shopping journey.
Partner with data teams to define metrics, dashboards, and reporting solutions that support merchant decision-making.
Drive initiatives that improve merchant adoption, catalog quality, product coverage, conversion, engagement, retention, and revenue.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators related to merchant growth, platform usage, product performance, and business outcomes.
Meet with strategic merchants to validate product direction, identify opportunities, and continuously improve the experience.
Balance short-term merchant requests with long-term platform investments that support scale.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is an experienced product leader with a strong background in ecommerce, marketplaces, merchant platforms, or retail technology. They are comfortable operating in fast-paced environments and have the ability to turn complex business challenges into simple, impactful product experiences.
5โ8+ years of Product Management experience building commerce, marketplace, retail technology, payments, or merchant-focused products.
Proven experience owning B2B or merchant-facing products that drive adoption, engagement, monetization, or business growth.
Strong understanding of ecommerce ecosystems, including product catalogs, pricing, promotions, inventory, checkout, APIs, integrations, and reporting platforms.
Experience working with marketplace metrics such as GMV, traffic, conversion, average order value, attribution, product visibility, catalog health, and promotional performance.
Experience partnering with Business Development, Partnerships, Sales, or commercial teams to launch external-facing products.
Background building dashboards, analytics products, reporting experiences, or data-driven customer solutions is highly preferred.
Strong product judgment with the ability to balance merchant requirements, consumer needs, and business objectives.
Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, AI, Data, Partnerships, and Go-to-Market teams.
Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to guide prioritization and product decisions.
Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, rapidly changing startup environments.
Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Passion for building innovative products from concept to launch.
