About the role
The Opportunity:
Product Management at TRUECar leads the integration of engineering, data science, and design to achieve the Company’s vision for reinventing the car pricing and buying experience. As a Product Manager, you’ll join our high-functioning consumer product team where you’ll play a key role in driving the transformation of TRUECar's online car marketplace in order to realize our vision of dramatically improving the way people discover, buy, and sell cars.
How you’ll drive TRUECar’s success:
Own the native consumer app roadmap (existing and new features) from ideation through development, launch, and maintenance, ensuring alignment with TRUECar’s mission and strategic objectives
Design and optimize features that support the consumer across the entire buying lifecycle—from home-based vehicle research and pricing context to on-the-lot dealership experiences (e.g., location-based features, digital deal building, or inventory scanning)
Maintain a deep understanding of how various pieces of a project integrate—including native client-side logic, API layers, underlying algorithms, business logic, and native user interface components
Leverage data analysis, market research, and user testing to set team goals, define success metrics for mobile engagement, and monitor app health (crash rates, conversion funnels, retention)
Navigate project ambiguity, technical complexity, and interdependencies in an organized, structured way within an agile framework
Effectively manage diverse stakeholder relationships, weighing competing priorities and managing trade-offs
Evaluate opportunistic new ideas and work toward consensus while maintaining a clear focus on overarching business goals
Understand and influence TRUECar’s strategic and competitive positions
Your impact as a Product Manager at TRUECar:
This role will help drive how TRUECar fundamentally changes how people buy cars by putting a powerful, transparent, and confidence-building tool directly in their pockets. By solving the friction points between digital discovery and the physical showroom floor, your work will directly increase mobile conversion rates, drive higher user retention, and ensure TRUECar remains the most trusted co-pilot in the automotive purchasing journey.
Your Expertise:
BA/BS in business, computer science, or related discipline and/or 2+ years of previous Product Manager experience
Strong understanding of and direct experience with an engineering-first culture and what it takes to build technical products in an agile+scrum environment
Communication and Team Building Skills: You thrive in a dynamic, agile environment leading scrum team members and collaborating with cross-functional teams
Creative growth mindset: Ability to think creatively to define new experiences improving adoption, usage, and reengagement to drive better business outcomes
Familiarity and comfort with data, including the ability to use data to analyze and monitor product health, set goals and metrics, as well as aid in the prioritization of initiatives and features
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, and the ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and take action
Detail-oriented, but deftly balanced with holistic system-thinking
Automotive industry experience and domain expertise
Engineering and/or software development experience
Product management experience with business-to-business (B2B) products
