Amazon's Advertising Technology team builds the technology infrastructure and
ad-serving systems to manage billions of advertising queries every day. The
result is better quality advertising for publishers and more relevant ads for
customers. Our infrastructure supports millions of Internet users and handles
billions of queries per day, all delivered in milliseconds. Our data platform
processes massive data sets to develop business intelligence and analytics that
are critical for the efficiency and profitability of our advertising business.
As a Principal Product Manager on our Ad-Identity team, you’ll define and
execute cross-functional products that power Amazon’s advertising
infrastructure, serving billions of queries daily. You’ll leverage your deep
expertise in digital advertising, technical product management, and business
strategy to drive innovation in identity solutions that enhance ad relevance,
improve publisher quality, and support Amazon’s advertising ecosystem.
Key job responsibilities
Define and execute product strategy by identifying new business opportunities,
working backward from customer needs, and developing products and initiatives
that scale across the advertising ecosystem
Drive continuous improvement by owning key metrics, analyzing performance data,
and collaborating closely with engineering and stakeholders to optimize
ad-identity solutions
Define product vision and strategy, creating a clear multi-year roadmap that
guides engineering, science, and design efforts across the organization
Manage cross-functional stakeholders by balancing business needs with technical
constraints, influencing priorities, and providing clarity in ambiguous
situations across Amazon Advertising teams
Partner with industry leaders by engaging with ad-tech companies and industry
bodies to explore collaborations and advance Amazon's position in the
advertising identity space
Translate insights into product strategy, ensuring our solutions remain at the
forefront of the advertising identity industry
A day in the life
As a Principal Product Manager on our ad-identity team, you'll work at the
intersection of business strategy and technical innovation. Your day might
include conducting customer interviews to uncover unmet needs in the advertising
identity space, collaborating with engineering teams to evaluate technical
feasibility of new product concepts, or presenting market insights to senior
leadership to inform our roadmap priorities. You'll balance deep dives into
industry trends with cross-functional planning sessions, working alongside data
scientists, engineers, and business partners to move initiatives from concept to
launch. You'll also engage with external ad-tech partners and industry
organizations to understand emerging standards and position Amazon as a thought
leader in advertising identity solutions.
About the team
Our Ad-Identity team forms the backbone of Amazon's programmatic advertising
business and supports multiple teams in the advertising ecosystem. You'll join a
dynamic, entrepreneurial team that leverages Amazon's scale and resources to
deliver innovative solutions. Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 3+ years of end to end product delivery experience
- Experience technical product management
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and
strategy related to a product
- Experience leading cross-organizational programs and setting and holding teams
and individuals to timelines and deliverables without explicit authority
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working directly with Engineers on
product enhancements
- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process
improvement
- Experience owning data-centric products
- Experience with and deep understanding of advertising technologies (i.e., ad
server, DSP)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package
will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final
compensation will be determined based on factors including experience,
qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits
including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life &
AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health
Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy
