About the role
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
* 10 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
* 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch
(e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc).
* Experience working with foundation model providers.
* Experience designing commercial models and pricing strategies for 3P APIs and
open-source offerings.
* Experience with LLM architectures, inference infrastructure, and the scaling
of API-based businesses or cloud platforms.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Experience defining the strategy and portfolio of products for model
ecosystems, inference platforms, or open-source ecosystems.
* Demonstrated experience in building complex financial models, pricing
strategies, and negotiating multi-party commercial agreements.
* Deep understanding of the Generative AI landscape, including LLM
architectures, inference infrastructure, and the open-source AI ecosystem.
* Proven ability to influence executive leadership on investment decisions.

promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.
This team strives to bring leading foundation models to Model Garden (commercial
or OSS) and establish Gemini Enterprise as the best platform for inference,
winning developers and enterprises. Expanded choice, highest possible
performance, reliability, security and lowest possible costs are the key goals
for the inference API business.
As a Group Product Manager for the Model Garden and 3P API business, you will be
the primary architect of our third-party (3P) model strategy. You will lead with
integration, and commercialization of the world’s most significant AI models,
ensuring our platform remains the premier destination for developers and
enterprises. You will require a blend of deep technical understanding, strategic
business development, and the ability to navigate complex cross-functional
landscapes.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills,
experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $240000 - $333000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Prioritize high-impact partner models for Model Garden using a rigorous
framework balancing performance, safety, and market demand.
* Design business frameworks for 3P APIs and open-source offerings to ensure
sustainable growth and engaging positioning.
* Own KPIs, formulate GTM strategy, and partner directly with Sales and
customers to drive adoption and product-market fit.
* Act as the primary product interface for top AI research organizations,
proactively resolving technical, legal, and commercial roadblocks.
* Mentor "Model PMs" and elevate product management excellence by establishing
best practices for model lifecycle management and integration.
