About the role
Welcome to the Traegerhood:
Our business is BBQ, and business tastes good. Traeger invented the wood pellet grill over 30 years ago, and we’re fanatics who are dedicated to bringing people together to create a more flavorful world. From our headquarters in Salt Lake City, we work tirelessly to provide a world-class experience to our customers, retailers, and especially our employees. If you’re a team player who’s dedicated to delivering top-quality results every day, then we want you to come cook with us.
What You’ll Do:
Traeger is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to own digital product strategy and roadmap across the Traeger App (iOS, Android, Watch) and Traeger.com. This role is central to our growth strategy: the app is a primary lever for increasing engagement, cook frequency, loyalty, and lifetime value (LTV) across the Traegerhood, while Traeger.com is our front door for brand storytelling and product education. You'll own a unified roadmap spanning app (~70%) and web (~30%). On the app side, that means shipping differentiated features that keep Traeger the best-in-category, highest-rated cooking app experience. On the web side, it means sharpening brand storytelling and product education, so visitors understand what we offer, why it's worth buying and guiding them to their quickest path to purchase. Across both, you'll partner closely with Engineering (Mobile, Web, Cloud, IoT, Firmware, QA), Design, Consumer Insights, Marketing, and Customer Experience to turn that strategy into shipped work.
How You’ll Help Us Win:
Consumer-Led Product Vision & Strategy. Together with our Insights & Innovation team, contribute to and evangelize our digital product vision, strategy and roadmaps with a relentless focus on our balancing consumer need, technical execution, and business goals.
Drive the Cross-Platform Roadmap. On Mobile Apps, own a roadmap that moves engagement, retention, cook frequency, and lifetime value. On Traeger.com, define and execute a product vision that tells our brand story, clarifies our offering, and removes purchase friction.
Lead Cross-Functional Delivery. Partner with Product, Engineering (Mobile, Web, Cloud, IoT, API, Firmware, QA), Design, Consumer Insights, Marketing, and Customer Experience to take strategy from concept to launch.
Eternal Advocate for the Consumer. Partner with Consumer Insights Research team to design and execute mixed method quantitative and qualitative research with customers, retailers, and ambassadors to validate roadmap bets.
Market Analysis. Stay current with industry, product, and market trends to identify potential ideas and disruptors based on opportunity and/or threat.
Make Data-Driven Decisions. Build a working command of app and web analytics — engagement, retention curves, conversion funnels, app store ratings and reviews — to prioritize and defend the roadmap.
Delivery Excellence. Ensure high-quality deployments by performing user acceptance testing as well as managing the communication and feedback loop with our Beta App communities.
Stakeholder Alignment. Represent App and Web strategy to cross-functional and leadership stakeholders translating consumer need, technical trade-offs and business priorities
Apply AI With Judgment. Use AI tools to accelerate research synthesis, spec writing, and data analysis, and know where AI can meaningfully differentiate our product experience versus where it’s a shiny buzzword.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
6+ years of product management experience, including ownership of a consumer-facing mobile app and/or e-commerce or brand website roadmap
A track record of driving measurable engagement, retention, or lifetime value (LTV) outcomes
Experience managing a multi-platform roadmap (iOS, Android, and Web) with competing priorities
Working knowledge of connected/IoT hardware products with Cloud and Firmware integration is a strong plus
Passion and empathy for understanding user needs and improving user experience
A keen eye for design and a strong point of view on digital product and user experience
Strong analytical skillset; comfortable turning engagement and funnel data into prioritization decisions
Practical fluency with AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, etc.) to accelerate PM workflows, plus working knowledge of AI/ML capabilities and limitations sufficient to scope AI-powered features with Engineering and Data Science
Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
Entrepreneurial, ownership-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
