We are looking for a Technical Product Manager - AI to join our Product, Systems, and Insights Team. This individual will report into our Senior Director, PSI and will own the strategy and execution of AI-driven technology initiatives across the business. You will partner closely with developers and business stakeholders to discover, define, and ship AI solutions that create measurable value. This remote position is open to individuals who live in, or are open to relocating to, the following states: Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.
This position requires travel to our headquarters in Melville, NY 6 times per year for internal meetings and team building activities. We reimburse reasonable and necessary travel expenses, and you’re also welcome to work on-site anytime beyond these visits – our doors are always open.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with time zone flexibility
Base Salary: $116,984 – $146,230 per year
Responsibilities:
Define and own the AI product roadmap, spanning customer-facing features (search & discovery, personalization, recommendations, and agentic self-service) and internal tools (RAG-based co-pilots, content generation, workflow automation, and decision support systems)
Partner with developers to scope, architect, and deliver AI solutions, from proof of concept through production deployment
Lead discovery: identify high-value AI opportunities by engaging with customers, business teams, and data; translate findings into clear problem statements and testable hypotheses
Write detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria in JIRA and Confluence with sufficient technical depth for AI/ML development
Design and manage experiments and A/B tests to evaluate AI feature performance; analyze results and drive iteration
Act as translator between business stakeholders and technical teams, articulating AI capabilities and limitations in business terms, and framing business goals in technically actionable ways
Monitor AI product performance post-launch; define and track relevant metrics (accuracy, engagement, conversion, latency, etc.) and respond to regressions or emerging opportunities
Champion responsible AI practices across all initiatives, including data privacy, model fairness, security, and quality standards
Enable internal adoption of AI tools by developing documentation, playbooks, training materials, and demos for business teams
Stay current on the AI/ML and bring actionable insights back to the roadmap
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
5–8 years of product management experience, with at least 2 years leading AI/ML or data-driven product initiatives
Product Management experience specifically within an ecommerce setting strongly preferred
Strong working knowledge of modern AI/ML approaches: large language models and prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agentic workflows, recommendation systems, search/ranking, and personalization
Demonstrated experience partnering with data science and ML engineering teams to ship production-ready AI features
Technical fluency sufficient to read API documentation, understand data schemas and model architecture tradeoffs, and engage meaningfully in system design discussions
Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and agile/scrum methodologies
Strong analytical skills; comfortable defining success metrics, designing experiments, and interpreting quantitative results
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, able to align executives, engineers, and business partners around a shared vision
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with LLM evaluation, prompt design, and AI quality assessment is a plus
CSPO, SAFe POPM, or relevant AI/ML certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning, Google Professional ML Engineer, or similar)
