About the role
Overview
Bing Multimedia is building the next generation of AI powered image, video, and multimodal search experiences used by millions of customers worldwide. As search evolves into an AI first, multimodal experience, we’re redefining how people discover, understand, and create with visual content across Bing, Edge, Windows, and Copilot.
We’re looking for a Principal Product Manager to define and build the next generation of these experiences. This is a high impact role for a proven product leader who thrives in fast‑moving environments and has a track record of shipping innovative products that drive meaningful customer and business outcomes.
You will identify and shape high‑value opportunities at the intersection of AI, search, and media, turning emerging technologies into differentiated, consumer experiences.
The ideal candidate brings strong product judgment, deep understanding of competitive market dynamics, and experience building both new (0→1) and scaled (1→N) products in highly competitive spaces. You care deeply about product craft and customer experience, and you know how to build products that feel intuitive, useful, and differentiated.
You bring strong product instinct and use data and experimentation to pressure‑test decisions and improve outcomes. You’re comfortable operating in ambiguous problem spaces, bringing clarity, setting direction, and influencing across teams and leadership.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of AI innovation, shaping how millions of people interact with visual and multimodal search, and pushing new experiences into production, learning quickly from real usage, and iterating fast.
Responsibilities
Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI‑powered multimedia experiences across image, video, and multimodal search, balancing near term execution with north star vision.
Identify, frame, and size high impact opportunities using customer insight, product data, competitive dynamics, and emerging AI capabilities
Drive end to end product development from early concept and rapid prototyping (0→1) through launch, iteration, and scaled adoption (1→N)
Translate advances in AI and machine learning into meaningful, high quality customer facing product experiences
Operate effectively in ambiguous problem spaces, defining problems, setting direction, and creating clarity across teams
Design and lead rigorous experimentation (A/B testing, flighting), defining hypotheses and success metrics and using results to guide decisions
Use product telemetry and data analysis to understand user behavior, diagnose issues, and identify opportunities to improve engagement, quality, and retention
Partner deeply with engineering, design, data science, and research teams to deliver intuitive, high‑quality user experiences
Drive alignment across senior stakeholders and partner teams, influencing without authority to resolve ambiguity and deliver outcomes across complex dependencies
Present product strategy, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership, shaping product direction and investment decisions
Champion product quality and craft, ensuring experiences are intuitive, engaging, and differentiated for customers.

Strong understanding of AI/ML systems, with experience translating emerging capabilities into customer‑facing product experiences
Experience operating in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments and driving clarity, prioritization, and execution across teams
Experience designing and running experiments (A/B testing, flighting) and using product data and telemetry to drive measurable impact
Strong analytical skills; experience working with data tools (e.g., SQL, KQL, Python, experimentation platforms, dashboards) to understand user behavior and identify opportunities
